life hint: "Jesus loves me, this I know"...and that's all you need to know.
Luke 22:14-23
You are what you eat.
"When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God."
After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, "Take this and divide it among you. For I tell you I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes." And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you, do this in remembrance of me."
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on the table. The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed, but woe to that man who betrays him." They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who would do this."

I think the reasons I have trouble with just being in the presence of God rather than knowing everything about the presence is...because I'm human. We all have this natural curiosity to make sure we know everything before we get into something. I know I am..I'm so used to being in control that it freaks me out to let someone else take control, and yet not know everything about that someone else. And I know that God takes care of me, but there's always that stupid doubt that someone dumb *glares @ the stupid devil* places in your mind.."what if He doesn't take care of me??" But in the end, you get those awesome moments when you ARE just in the presence of God, and everything seems so simple, when you're perfectly sure that He's taking care of you :)
May God help you be satisfied with your not-knowing.
