life hint: Don't bother hammering if there's no nail.
Matthew 4:18-20
Jesus didn't mince words, and the disciples didn't mince action.
"As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. Tehy were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him.

"make a list of the top ten things you do, not because you enjoy doing them, but because it just "feels right" when you do them."
This one was really hard to do. A lot of the things that feel right, feel right because I enjoy doing them too. But I guess there are a couple of things where even though I enjoy doing it, and it's something I should be enjoying doing, I do it more out of duty than anything else *ashamed*. These questions are tough..they call you to think!!! The following list is of things that I might or might not enjoy doing. But sometimes, it's the feeling of being obliged to do them that drives me when I'm unmotivated..and if I'm always unmotivated, then it's the only thing that drives me...
In no particular order:
1. Apologize
2. Prepare for Bible study
3. Lead CHASE (at times!!!)
4. Following through with the prayer covenant
5. Assignments, school work
6. Cleaning
7. Writing on behalf of charities
8. Talking to people that I don't like
9. Respecting people who get on my nerves, yet I have to listen to (teachers etc.)
10. Being muso for YF

Imagine you have a dream and Jesus comes and sits with you at a diner and says, "I've been taking a look at yoru life, and I'm really pleased so far. Based on the gifts I've given you and what I need done in the world, I think I'd like you to...help the people who need to be helped. Whether it may be that they live in a developing country, or just happen to be everyday people with problems, I've given you a heart that cares. I want you to use that heart and all your passion to show my love to these people, because they'll see it reflected in you. I also want you to inspire people in worship. I've given you a love of singing, of worshipping, and I know you have a love for me. I want you to show people what I'm like."
May God give you the ears to listen for his voice, and may you hear and understand it - and have the courage to act.
