"That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him.
A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?"
They were terrified and asked each other, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"

The last time I really felt like I was doing what God wanted me to do I...spent days worrying, being tired, being angry at myself. And I spent days after, doing some more worrying, being more tired, and annoyed at myself. But at the same time I felt good because I knew that He was in control..I saw a rainbow and it reminded me of the amazing promise He's made us that He'll always take care of us. "Everything works out for good, for those who love the Lord...so blessed am I with you, always..." I STAND IN AWE OF YOU, GOD!! How can someone so beautiful feel anything for me? Ok..so I'm quoting a lot. But music is my connection..other people portray what I feel perfectly. Your power, love, mercy, goodness, grace, freedom..so many good things. But at the same time you died for someone so powerless, unloving, unmerciful, impure, graceless, slave...and turned me into your child, whom You love so dearly..how can that not amaze me? Indescribable, uncontainable, you placed the stars in the sky and you know them by name, you are amazing, God!
May the God who put the stars in the sky show you what it means to be in "awe" and fill your heart with that.
